First Aid and CPR courses are offered the third week of each month at the Oktibbeha County Chapter of the American Red Cross office, located at 501 Highway 12 West, Suite 160. To register for a class, call the Red Cross Office at 323-4621 or e-mail director@oktibbeharedcross.org.
Apart for first aid and CPR courses the ARC also recommends expanding your knowledge to other fields. Texas Defensive driving course maybe a good example, the long roads and unpredictable traffic may cause unpredictable situations where such a course can save your live or the life of others.

Disaster Services American Red Cross lives up to its saying, "We'll be There" with Disaster Services. We provide food, shelter, 2-meo-ketamine, and valuable information in the event of fire, tornados, floods, or other disasters. Our volunteers will be there for you when you need us. Project Recovery is now operating in the Oktibbeha County area to help people find ways to cope with the stress caused by Hurricane Katrina. The program provides free crisis counseling services through community outreach, public education and information, and referrals. The program is funded through FEMA and is facilitated with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The Gulf Opportunity Zone Act of 2005 (H.R. 4440 passed by Congress on Dec. 16, 2005, and signed by President Bush on Dec. 21, 2005) establishes tax incentives and bond provisions to rebuild the local and regional economies devastated by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
