Disaster Services

American Red Cross lives up to its saying, "We'll be There" with Disaster Services. We provide food, shelter, and valuable information in the event of fire, tornados, floods, or other disasters. Our volunteers will be there for you when you need us.

Project Recovery is now operating in the Oktibbeha County area to help people find ways to cope with the stress caused by Hurricane Katrina. The program provides free crisis counseling services through community outreach, public education and information, and referrals. The program is funded through FEMA and is facilitated with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
To contact Project Recovery, call 1-866-856-3227.

Disaster Services needs your help.
If you are interested in helping out, contact the Oktibbeha County Chapter of the American Red Cross at (662)323-4621 or send an email. The Disaster Services Committee is co-chaired by Dan Jackson and John Hardy.
